SFX Ammunition is completely Inert, no powder, no primer, NO BANG !, 

It is safe for use as Movie Props, in Theater, for Custom displays or promotional give-a-ways, Displays at Trade Shows and Gun Shows.  It is strong enough to be used as a Training device, and function testing dummies for Gunsmiths and Armors.

SFX Ammunition with polymer projectiles completely is Lead Free and safe to be handled without any special precautions.

We also offer Display Ammunition with standard bullets, however these are not always lead free.

SFX offers several different lines of Inert Ammunition to fill your needs;

Standard SFX Ammunition Rifle and Pistol- Available in 15 colors, this line of Ammunition is popular with collectors, used as Movie and stage props, as promotional items etc.  While the bullet shapes may appear like the real thing, the wide range of non-standard bullet colors are a sure way to let everyone know these are Inert.

All Plastic Rounds - Available in 16 colors, these are great for displays, function testing (not snap caps), props and also popular with collectors.  See Caliber listings for availability.

MilitaryFX - These are Inert versions of popular Military calibers and projectile types.  Colors and markings match the original rounds.  Used by Movie and Stage props, popular with collectors and used as static displays in museums and trade shows.

CombatFX - While close to the MilitaryFX line, the CombatFX ammunition line offers calibers and bullet styles more commonly found in Law Enforcement, Sporting Cartridges, Self Defense and Target Shooting. Also included in this line are several offerings of 12ga shotgun Ammunition.   Used mostly as Movie props, they are also popular with collectors and LARP'ers.

Limited Editions and Movie Prop Overruns - Sometimes I have limited numbers of special contracted SFX Ammunition variations available. 

Collectable Cartridges - While mainly favored by Cartridge Collectors, these offerings also are suitable for displays, and have been used as Movie Props.

Other Inert Props - Mostly used as movie or stage props, they also are favored by collectors and as training devices.

February 6, 2012 - I have had to discontinue several items in the MilitaryFX and SFX line, sales did not justify production costs.  Many of the Colored Tipped MilitaryFX rounds are sold out,  a few remain in .223, 7.62x51 and 7.62x39 but once current stocks are gone, there won't be anymore of those.  The Standard Copper colored FMJ version of all calibers will remain available however.   In the future,  the colored tipped bullets will be painted just like the real thing.
